Looking At The Different Kinds of Acne

As you may well know, having acne, especially if you're a teenager, can be very detrimental. Depending upon what stage of their life that they are in, acne can have detrimental effects for most teens. Most people, regardless of their age, may have unfavorable consequences in their lives. A sense of being afraid to be seen in public or even developing lower self-confidence may result. Moderate forms of acne are tolerable, but extreme cases can be debilitating at best. In these situations, the pimples can be very deep within the skin. When that happens, the surrounding nerves can cause extreme pain if the area is touched or pressure applied. Squeezing your pimples is usually not a good idea though most people will go in this direction. This is truly a very poor decision to make as it can worsen your condition and cause potential scarring.

Acne, or acne vulgarism as it's sometimes known, is a skin condition that's very common. The reason acne is seen more often on the face is due to the amount of sebaceous follicles present. You'll see acne in areas like the back, face and upper chest for this reason. There are minor and major expressions of acne with the least serious being simple whiteheads and blackheads. But you should remember that even these minor forms of acne can lead to much more severe acne. You shouldn't ever squeeze any blemishes on your face as it'll just make things much worse.

Teenage acne, which is common acne aka acne vulgar-is, is most certainly the most prevalent type of acne. This is probably the most easily treatable acne and numerous people treat themselves with over the counter products. But, there are risks that have been linked to over the counter treatments for acne. We are referring to the more serious types of acne that produce large, painful bumps and using OTC medications for self-treatment. You can easily make the situation worse by self-administering the wrong treatment for what you have. In such instances, the sufferer may seek something else that is more powerful. So you can really end up going around in a vicious circle.

Treating acne is not an exact science due to the fact that there are so many potential causes for acne as well as misconceptions as to its origin. An individual that contracts acne very easily may have a genetic predisposition to get it. Some family members may develop acne, but this does not mean that genetics is the primary cause. An example of this would be someone that gets acne very bad, however the genetic line is not predisposed to providing it. Families that have acne in great numbers are often genetically predisposed to have this skin disorder. Being a victim of acne is a big enough problem without the addition of scarring. The two together can cause emotional upset and heartbreak for the victim. The thing about scars is something meaningful can be done. It's possible to buy excellent oils specifically for the purpose of healing scars. You can just Google that, and you will see some of these products.
